Error Code 1027….

I thought this would be perfect for watching my dog, and monitoring my home while I was away @ work; however, this app has yet to even work for me. I downloaded the free trial version, and doubt Ill purchase the Upgrade, since this version has yet to successfully connect between my Iphone 4, and MacPro...

it

very nice

sorry, there is an error, cannot register

A never ending message telling me there is an error, cannot register. Wish I had not paid the money for it.

Will Not Register

Same thing happened to me. Trying to get it hooked up with my phone and I need the "CID" but it wont let me register to get it. LAME

Good idea…although

Was a good idea, but it is just not the right app for what i need to use it for. Some problems with it are the app dosnt run while the app is closed. This app should have the same premise or way as iCam. Also on the Macs the light comes on signaling that the camera is on. So this gives it away for lets say a their. It could be better.

Master

This is not a market ready software, it is very confusing and not user friendly. No help topics at all. It is like a car without wheels.

New Version is great

Upgraded version works exactly as described, I’m actually using a logitech pro9000 non ip camera with my mac pro. Thanks! Oh yeah, I’d pay $5.00 for this app.

Not sure about the other review...

I think that this app works fairly well, although, (and it might be the computer) the camera quality is not amazing. I use it to stream/take photos (I have not tried the motion detector or recording) of a 3D printer from my phone when I am out of the house. It works reliably, although it takes a minute to connect from my phone.

Works

Wanted to use iPhone to monitor my puppies while on vacation - hooked a webcam to macbook and tried several apps. Athome was only one that worked. Need to resolve a sound issue - cam mic is not picking up which may be the cam’s problem - but was very happy with the video fed to my iPhone after very easy setup. thanks!

Good app, needs some minor adjustments to me

It did exactly what it said it would. I was suprised by how well the Mac app and iOS app worked. I had only one or two minor issues. Was using my MacBook Air’s webcam as a temporary surveilance system, which worked perfectly when viewing the live, real-time feed over LTE on my iPhone. Audio using my MacBook Air’s microphone sounded fine. Motion detection worked great as well, getting an INSTANT push notification on my iPhone as well as via email. The first issue I had was not being able to change the video save location (not sure if the app even lets you?). The second issue was that sometimes the video feed within the app’s window would be black UNTIL I happened to open QuickTime Player. All of this was in Yosemite on a 2012 MacBook Air and an iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8.1.

Works almost perfectly...

Setup was very easy and I was up and surveilling in minutes. I love the instant push notification feature. I received the notice within seconds of the detection of motion but have yet to receive any emails. I am using a Mac mini running OSX Yosemite 10.10.1 and an iPhone with iOS 8.1.1. I would have given it 5 stars if the location of the recorded video on my hard drive could be designated.

Please can the developers create an app for Mac to use it as a viewer? The current app is for using your Mac only as a camera and not a viewer.

Almost…but not quite there yet. Need Mac viewer!

As a former owner of a professional video security company, I found the AtHome software set quite compelling. If you can look past the horrible UI, the software is easy to use and connections reliable—ALMOST everything you would want for a surveillance system. Things that don’t work well and/or are missing are both obvious and not-so-obvious. Here’s a quick run down of the pros and cons: PROS • Easy setup (e.g., QR code) • Reliable connections • Quality video • Two-way audio CONS • No MAC OSX viewer (please add one soon!) • Boring and messy UI (really stands out against some of the nicer iOS and Mac UIs) • Streamer software should run in the background • Streamer software seems unfinished (many features “greyed” out) If AtHome is consistently updated and developed, I belive it can be one of the best systems out there for lay people and professionals alike. Keep it up, guys!

Its good.

I just found that there IS in fact a video viewer for mac and there IS and video taker for iphone so… once you combine it is perfect.

Unfinished Crap Software

Many functions in the software are greyed out. The company (on their forum) says “those features not yet implemented”. Things like changing where the videos are stored??? This is Mac 101. I’m going to be demanding a refund.

It has stopped working

After the last update it stopped working! It just won’t conect!

Why has it stopped working.

Seems like an issue for everyone using MAC. I tried bypassing the firewall but it still wouldnt work. Is someone from athome development team fixing this?

It is not connecting

I can see I am not the only one expiriencing the same problem after the last update for MAC users. I hope the developers resolve this problem soon, I really liked when it was working.

How to fix the connection problem

This update won’t allow Mac users to connect to the server. To fix this, go to the ichano.com web site and download the app from there. Install it, and it will show a new app called AtHome Video Streamer 3.0.0. Then go back and delte your old AtHome Video Streamer app and now it connects like it did before the broken update. I gave it a 3 because the version from the web site works and deducted points for having to figure it out after using the app store update.

Do Not Update

Video Streamer was working great and I used it all the time, now it does not connect after the latest update. Do not update your current version if it is working.
